Record numbers of bargain-hungry motorists

The sales are well underway and although many retailers on the high street are finding it tough, a record number of bargain-hungry motorists have flocked to Carcraft, on Nixon Street, in the New Year.
The UK’s largest used car hypermarket chain has seen a record number of car buyers in the first few days of Carcraft’s Big Sale – up 10% on the same time last year.
Howard Ryder, general manager at Carcraft Rochdale, said: "Despite some gloomy retail predictions for 2008, customers have proved that the where there is value for money in the motoring sector and it’s encouraging to see that our showrooms and website continue to attract more visitors year-on-year in the New Year period.
