Changes to water rates - have you been affected?

United Utilities has changed the way it charges business customers for their waste water and highway drainage with effect from 1 April. The current system is based on rateable value, but the new system will be based on the surface area of business premises. This will mean for some members a reduction in bills, but for others a significant increase phased in over the next three years.

Greater Macnhester Chamber is interested in hearing from you if you have been affected by this change. Set against ever increasing energy bills and other costs the Chamber is concerned that these changes could have a significant impact on business.
