Date published: 18 June 2013
GreaterSport today (18 June) launched the Greater Manchester Workplace Games, a fun sport event series for businesses. It provides companies the opportunity for staff to learn a new sport and take part in some friendly competition. With no experience necessary you can choose the events that suit you - sign up to one, two or all three events!
Targeted at workplace teams the event gives colleagues the chance to socialise away from the work environment. Enjoy the social atmosphere and network with likeminded organisations.
Events for the inaugural Greater Manchester Workplace Games feature Touch Rugby, Softball and Volleyball, three of the most inclusive sports available to men and women.Non contact and perfect for everyone from the absolute beginner to the expert player.
All three sports are easy to learn, easy to play and lots of fun with on the spot coaching where necessary. Requiring mixed gender teams of 7 to 10 people the events take place on Saturday mornings, 10.00am to 2.00pm, at central locations over the next few months.
Focusing on providing a fun and friendly experience, teams are encouraged to bring friends and family along to enjoy the day with changing facilities and refreshments available why not make a day of it?
