All-In-One Garden Centre has announced a new plant pot and seed tray recycling scheme in addition to the current recycling service they provide on behalf of Rochdale Council.
All-In-One Garden Centre's Jason Stafford said: “Following coverage on the BBC regarding the common plant pot being described as 'the carrier bag of the gardening industry' we at All-In-One immediately set in place a service to customers helping them recycle any unwanted plant pots and seed trays.
“Being extremely passionate about gardening and the environment we are keen to assist in any initiative that mirrors our Reduce, Re-use and Recycle Strategy.
“All-In-One Garden Centre would like to encourage all customers to bring unwanted plant pots back into the store for onward recycling or reuse for worthy causes.”
Approximately 500 million plant pots are made every year, the majority of which are sent to landfill.
