Local business showcases students work

Forster Dean are supporting local Art Students from Hopwood Hall by showcasing their work.

The office will be displaying a different piece of artwork on a regular basis to showcase local students work. The first piece of work is a fine copy of a Lucian Freud self-portrait by first year Fine Art student Luke McDaid.

Luke is delighted with the exposure and said it will be good to see what the public think of his work, he has been approached by a local group to produce a record sleeve for an album so is already keen to market his abilities.

The College was initially approached by Yvonne Hall a solicitor at the firm with a view to exhibiting students work.

Yvonne visited Hopwood Hall College and was shown work produced by students studying on the Extended Diploma in Fine Art, where the possibilities of hanging paintings, drawings and prints and having a monthly rotating exhibition was discussed.

Yvonne Hall said: "This offers a wonderful opportunity for Hopwood Hall students to exhibit their work in a professional setting and we hope the link we have started is maintained and grows."
