15 minute cycle challenge for Comic Relief

Date published: 11 March 2013

Local Peugeot dealership, RRG Rochdale, is inviting local residents to ‘gear up’ for its 15 minute cycle challenge, to raise funds for Red Nose Day 2013.

An exercise bike will be positioned in the dealership’s showroom from Friday 8 March until Friday 22 March 2013 and the person who cycles the longest distance in 15 minutes, will win a newly restyled Peugeot RCZ sports coupé for one week.

The dealership on Edinburgh Way will round-off its Red Nose Day celebrations on Friday 22 March, with help from two first team Rochdale AFC players, who will both be saddling up for the charity at 1.30pm.

Keen to put the wheels in motion and support the charity, the dealership’s team members will also be donating £1 and participating in the indoor cycle.

Mike Knowles, aftersales manager at the dealership, said: “We thought the cycle challenge would be a fun and healthy way to raise much needed funds for such a worthwhile charity.

“The whole team is incredibly enthusiastic about raising money for Red Nose Day so we’re encouraging the residents of Rochdale to come along and put their pedal power to the test!”

In addition to winning a Peugeot RCZ sports coupé for one week, a selection of prizes will also be up for grabs from Virgin Active gym, on Heywood Old Road, which is supplying the exercise bike.
