Business relocation brings jobs boost

Date published: 29 February 2012

InHealth, a provider of diagnostic and imaging services, has completed a deal to take 8,000 sq ft of office space in Sandbrook House, Rochdale, with an additional 3,000 sq ft for expansion.

The move will create up to 95 jobs in the borough, which includes re-deploying some existing staff.

Based in Buckinghamshire, InHealth has been operating exclusively in the UK for over 25 years and offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic scans and procedures. Working predominantly within the NHS, but also serving the needs of private health care providers, the company has been working with partners in Rochdale for the last five years.

Mark Stanton, IT Director for InHealth, said: “We have always been impressed with the professionalism and motivation of our Rochdale team, so when we decided to consolidate all of our patient referral activities into one national patient referral centre, Rochdale was a natural choice for us.”

InHealth used Rochdale Development Agency’s property search service to help find a location for the new facility.

Julie Evans, Business Development Manager at Rochdale Development Agency, said: “Mark contacted us for help with finding suitable premises for the new venture in Rochdale. We quickly identified several buildings that met Mark’s criteria and assisted with arranging viewings.”

Councillor Peter Williams, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development said: “We’re really pleased that Inhealth chose Rochdale and Sandbrook House and we wish them all the best with their expansion plans.”

The new premises is currently being fitted out, with a phased ramp up of services between February and April.
