Blooming triumph for Norden businesses

Two Norden based businesses are celebrating following their success in the Rochdale Township in Bloom awards.

The Bridge Chippy and The Salon on Edenfield Road were chosen as winners because of their outstanding floral displays which have been tended to by staff throughout the summer.

The displays helped to make the village look stunning for residents, visitors and of course the RHS judges who visited the village back in July.

Many businesses and residents made an enormous effort this year to brighten up the village with floral displays, pots, baskets and planting of all kinds.

Following the RHS judges’ visit the township is still waiting to hear the official result but they left with smiles on their faces so the committee remain optimistic of a substantial improvement on last year’s result.
