Care company sets up in Rochdale
Date published: 24 March 2011
A business specialising in caring for the elderly in their own homes has opened an office in Rochdale, and could create up to 50 jobs.
David Bradshaw set up the new Rochdale office of the national home care company, Home Instead Senior Care after choosing to leave his previous role as Managing Director of a large engineering firm.
Mr Bradshaw said: “I was keen to start my own business where I could make a positive difference to the lives of people in the local area.
“The ethos of Home Instead really stood out to me as they focus on service first and business second. I want to provide a quality service that I would be happy to use for myself and my family.”
Home Instead’s main aim is to help people retain as much of their independence as possible by enabling them to remain in their own homes. Whilst the principal services involve the day-to-day care of older people in their own homes such as help with meal preparation and housekeeping, the company also provides a range of specialist services, which include Alzheimer’s and dementia care, convalescence and respite care.
Mr Bradshaw is keen to talk to people who are interested in working with elderly people.
