Holistic centre gears up for big move
Date published: 23 February 2011
True Serenity, Centre for Holistic Excellence, will be relocating at the start of March.
The centre, which specialises in treatments including acupuncture and reflexology, is moving to Blue Pit Mill in Queensway, Castleton.
Currently, the centre is located at Redbrook House on Bury Road, but come 1 March 2011 the move will be completed, with a special opening ceremony to mark the occasion.
Centre owner Jo Potts explained: “[The current location] gives us limitations. We have regular workshops that require a bigger space; our meditation groups and classes are regularly sold out. Also, they’re not as private as they could be. The new location is a more functional space.”
“We are keeping the same phone number, website and email address so you can always contact us via these.”
With every move there is stress involved, but it’s not so much of a problem for the staff at True Serenity. “There’s always a bit of stress, but here there are things at hand to deal with it,” explained Ms Potts.
Performing at the ceremony will be Buddhist monk Geshe Lama Ahbay Tulku Rinpoche, who is third in line to the Dalai Lama.
“He will be providing Puja ceremonies on 1, 2 and 3 of March for anyone with an interest in receiving a blessing from this high ranking monk with lots of character. He will also be teaching some Buddhist philosophy. You do not have to be Buddhist to enjoy the experience,” said Ms Potts
The move will also give the centre the chance to start other projects. “We will eventually be opening an additional facility that focuses on children with additional needs which will incorporate complementary health treatments and creative education.”
The new address in full is: Suite 2, 2nd Floor, Blue Pit Mill, Queensway, OL11 2PG.
