Molesworths give a little festive cheer

Date published: 11 January 2011

Molesworths helped make the festive season a little more special for service users and their children at the Rochdale Women’s Refuge.

Instead of sending out Christmas cards and gifts to their clients, Molesworths donated the money to the Refuge to help towards the cost of Christmas dinner for everyone there.

Rochdale Women’s Refuge provides safe, emergency accommodation with practical and emotional support to 30 women, with or without children, who are experiencing domestic violence, enabling them to make informed choices about their lives.

Helen Benbow, Office Manager at Molesworths said: “We wanted to do something that we hoped would make a difference locally. There are so many worthy causes in our area and it was extremely difficult to select one over another but felt that the work the Refuge did was really extraordinary.”

Senior Partner Peter Rhodes added: “The work the Refuge does is extremely important and the service they provide is second to none. Our Family Department see the time, effort and devotion that the staff there put in throughout the year so we are more than happy to be able to assist in this small way”.
