Festive celebrations at Williams
Date published: 16 December 2010
Williams Rochdale has taken a suitably traditional approach to the festive season, decorating the car showroom with a customary nativity scene, complete with baby Jesus and the Three Wise Men.
The scene is being displayed across all the Williams dealerships for the duration of the festive period.
Williams also celebrated Christmas with a children’s Christmas party at the weekend for all staff’s children and grandchildren. Every year Williams Chairperson Margaret Orton-Williams, using her secret family recipe, hand bakes a mince pie for every single Williams’ employee. With over 600 staff in the Williams Group, Mrs Orton-Williams started baking the mince pies in July and has purchased a special freezer to store them.
Mrs Orton William will now spend a few days over the festive period hand delivering the mince pies among the employees, taking time in each dealership to have a chat with the staff.
Alex Dunning, Dealer Principal at Rochdale said, “At Williams, we love to celebrate the festive season. We are a very traditional company with strong family values and this is reflected in the traditional nativity scene that we display with pride each year and the personal touch that Mrs Orton-Williams offers with her hand-baked, hand delivered mince pies.
