Chamber comes together for Christmas lunch

Date published: 16 December 2010

Many businesses from Rochdale are members of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and were present at a Christmas Networking Lunch held at the Ratcliffe Suite at Rochdale Football Club this week.

Accountants, Solicitors, Architects, Printers, Construction Companies, Investigators, and Rochdale Online with its Web Design and Online Advertising were all represented.

Following an excellent buffet lunch, the President of the Rochdale Local Chamber Council, Peter Carey, invited all present to say a few words about their businesses. Networking is an important part of the event to encourage local businesses to work with each other and so benefit Rochdale.

Carol Hopkins from Rochdale MBC and formerly of the Rochdale Chamber introduced the marketing DVD of Rochdale Borough which is still being developed and which will be played throughout Greater Manchester to attract business and tourists to the Borough. The DVD was played throughout the meal and Ms Hopkins is seeking comment and suggestions for improvement.

Peter Carey concluded the event with a wish that all members should have a good Christmas and a successful 2011.
