Heywood training consultant bags IT award

A training consultant from Heywood has won a prestigious IT award.
Sysop head of training, Michelle Major-Goldsmith has been awarded the prestigious ITIL Trainer of the year at the itSMF Industry Awards Dinner in London.
Ms Major-Goldsmith was nominated by her students to win the itSMF award ITIL Trainer of the Year, awarded to the most consistent and successful IT Management trainer of the past 12 months.
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a set of concepts and best practices for IT service management.
Ms Major-Goldsmith’s winning submission, in the judges’ opinion, demonstrated a proven ability to conduct a course, showed familiarity with the topic, and demonstrated excellent communication and coaching skills. Above all, Michelle had the experience and had the enthusiasm to hold her audience.
Sysop, managing director, Stuart Sawle, said: "Michelle thoroughly deserves this award. She brings an air of calm and friendly authority to everything she does, be that leading the best team of trainers in the world or engaging with customers directly. Anyone who has met Michelle will recognise that the qualities she demonstrates in every one of her course outings are exactly those that the judges were looking for."
