Finalists for IT award in Heywood

Date published: 17 September 2010

Two training consultants from Heywood are finalists for a prestigious IT award, for the second year in a row.

Sysop Head of Training, Michelle Major-Goldsmith, and principal consultant, Andy Wright, were nominated by their students to win the itSMF award ITIL Trainer of the Year, awarded to the most consistent and successful IT Management trainer of the past 12 months. ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a set of concepts and best practices for IT service management.

Ms Goldsmith and Mr Wright must now attend the final selection stage with one more finalist at the awards dinner at the itSMF conference in the Novotel London West in Hammersmith on 8 November.

The winner will have best proven their ability to run the course, engage their audience, be exceptionally familiar with the topic, be very experienced, and have great communication and coaching skills.

Stuart Sawle, Managing Director of Sysop, said: “We get customers writing in to tell us how much they appreciate the training Andy and Michelle have delivered. That people actually write to us in this day and age says a lot.

“To have two finalists two years running is a tremendous achievement.”
