Knight Frank buys Rochdale industrial units

Knight Frank has secured the sale of two industrial warehousing premises in Rochdale on behalf of Allsopps LLP.

The two self contained sites are located on Dodgson Street and Stuart Street within an established industrial area in Rochdale. The Dodgson Street site which comprises of a 3,003 sq m (32,324 sq ft) single storey warehouse with ancillary offices has been sold to Quatchem for £550,000.

In addition, Knight Frank has secured the sale of the 1,155 sq m (12,438 sq ft) premises on Stuart Street. This warehouse unit, with mezzanine storage, has been sold to a private individual for £365,000.

On the sale Rob Taylor from Knight Frank, commented: “The two premises are located within an already well-established and popular industrial area, with surrounding occupiers including Transwift Freight Services and Riverside Quilters. These disposals show that there is a market for second hand, freehold accommodation, particularly from occupiers. We were in protracted negotiations with several parties before a deal was finally concluded, typifying the last two years, but the outcome was pleasing for all involved.”
