Bill Hoult has been re-elected President of Rochdale-based United Co-operatives, the UK's largest regional co-operative society, for a second two year term.
A retired trade union official, Bill has the unusual distinction of having served as President of three different successful societies - Warrington, United Norwest and the present United society. Both Warrington and United Norwest took part in mergers from strength which have led to the formation of United Co-operatives.
Bill commented: "It is a great privilege to be re-appointed as President of the most successful co-operative society in the UK."
United Co-operatives has a turnover of £2 billion and employs 16,000 staff, principally in the Midlands and North of England. Its major businesses are Food, Travel, Motor dealerships, Pharmacies and Funerals.
