Lythgoe Motor Group: new car super-site on Kingsway

Date published: 18 August 2006

Lythgoe Motor Group has moved their Citroen and Mazda dealerships to one 'super-site' on Kingsway, Rochdale. The new location is right next door to Morrison’s supermarket and very conveniently placed for easy access from all areas of the town.

The Citroen dealership was previously situated on Halifax Road on the way to Littleborough, while the Mazda showroom was in the town centre on Water Street.

Dealer Principal of the new site, Phil Nothard, outlined the advantages the bigger facility has for customers:

  • Excellent workshop facilities mean quicker servicing times and it'll be much easier book a service, repair or MOT.
  • The large forecourt will have room for a massive choice of nearly-new and used cars.
  • Parking and general access will be much better.
  • The new Kingsway Business Park is virtually across the road; hence this part of town is quickly becoming the centre of retail activity.

A Lythgoe head office spokesman said: "Lythgoe Motor Group now has two big dealerships in Rochdale offering all types of cars and vans from four great manufacturers. On Queensway, just half a mile away from the new site, is the Fiat and Kia garage which has been a very well known and successful location for many years.

"The Kia brand is a recent addition to this particular site and with the choice and fantastic value that the Korean manufacturer offers; it's a very busy place.

"Fiat is also having great success with the superb five door Panda super-mini and the all-new 'award winning' 2006 Grande Punto.

“And now on Kingsway we have opened the new Citroen and Mazda dealership."
