Changes to water rates - has your business been affected?

United Utilities will be changing the way it charges business customers for their waste water and highway drainage with effect from 1 April. The current system is based on rateable value, but the new system will be based on the surface area of business premises. This will mean for some businesses a reduction in bills, but for others a significant increase phased in over the next three years.
Greater Manchester Chamber is interested in hearing from businesses affected by this change. Set against ever increasing energy bills and other costs the Chamber is concerned that these changes could have a significant impact on business.
