Ethnic Minority Business Support networking success

Date published: 30 March 2007

Ethnic Minority Business Support (EMBS) hosted its most successful networking event to date when representatives of local ethnic minority businesses flocked to the new Roti Indian Restaurant on Drake Street to discuss the topic of finance for small businesses.

The Roti restaurant proved to be a popular venue as guests commented on the superb food on offer, whilst listening to four guest speakers talk about financial business issues.

Shabir Khan, of EMBS, wanted to thank the Roti for their excellent services. He said: “EMBS would like to officially thank the restaurant for hosting our event and for providing an excellent meal. I can recommend the food to anyone and they are an ideal venue for hosting conferences and for business meals.”

He went on to speak about the growing success of the EMBS networking events. He continued: “This event was very well attended, with over 75 people there, and they found it so useful that many stayed past 10 o’clock at night.”

Rochdale Online Business Development Executive Veronica MacKay attended the event and enjoyed her evening. She said: “I think this was the best meeting so far, the room was packed and I think things are now really coming together for the EMBS networking events.”

The next of the bi-monthly network meetings will take place at Rochdale Football Club on 23 May. For more information contact EMBS on 01706 630140
