Tenon on the move

Date published: 14 August 2009

Accountancy firm Tenon has moved from its town centre office to larger premises on Sandbrook Business Park development due to recent growth of the company.

Tenon has signed a ten-year deal to secure a letting for over 8,000 sq ft of office space at Cedar House.

Tenon, which provides a range of financial services to the entrepreneurial market services, has served the Rochdale and Rossendale business communities from its Lewis House office on Smith Street for many years.

The move to Sandbrook Business Park will allow Tenon to continue its plans for further growth and increased capacity.

Sandbrook Business Park has been developed by Northern Trust and the Rochdale Development Agency. When fully completed, the scheme will deliver more than 65,000 sq ft of new office accommodation for Rochdale, spread across 10 office buildings.

Chris Hill, Tenon’s office managing director in Rochdale, said: “This move will enable us to continue providing the best service to our existing clients while attracting new business and growing our team. Having developed strong ties with the entrepreneurial community in Rochdale and Rossendale, it was important that we chose a new location that would allow us to maintain those connections. Sandbrook Business Park, with its excellent transport links and proximity to both Rochdale and Rossendale town centres, makes it the ideal location for our staff and visitors.”

Neil McManus, development surveyor at Northern Trust, commented: “Tenon’s decision to locate at Sandbrook Business Park once again underlines the quality of the buildings, the environment and the location. This letting means that all bar one 2,500 sq ft suite of phase one is now let, which is a very pleasing result.”
