The last 18 months have seen local businesses struggling in the current economic climate, with shops closing down and people out of work the news has been bleak.
However, for one Rochdale woman, business couldn’t be better.
Camille Finney, owner of Ceejayz hair salon and boutique, has just completed a move to new premises to accommodate her high customer demand.
Ms Finney is the senior stylist at the hair salon which used to be located on Yorkshire Street, but, following the continued growth of the business, the salon has moved to larger premises on Milnrow Road.
The salon, which now has five stylists, offers a range of treatments including hair braiding, extensions, nail and beauty treatments and spray tans.
Ms Finney said that the move had been successful and alongside the running of the salon and her senior stylist duties she offers workshops to teach people do their own braids, or for parents to learn to do their children’s hair.
She said: “The response to the workshop has been a popular one; we started doing it last year and have received many application forms.”
