Estate agents could be breaking the law
Date published: 15 April 2009
Greater Manchester Chamber has warned that estate agents could be breaking the law if they are not aware of recent changes to legislation.
New rules mean that everyone engaged in estate agency work in relation to residential properties in the UK must be a member of a redress scheme.
The Office of Fair Trading will be holding an event on the changes on 21 April. The event will explain how the changes affect estate agents and how they can comply with the law.
The event will take place between 10am and 12.30pm on 21 April at The Market Restaurant, 104 High Street, Manchester. The cost is £15 plus VAT. For more information contact Gerwyn Knight:
