Waste electrical & electronic equipment seminar

Date published: 24 August 2007

The WEEE (Waste Electrical amp; Electronic Equipment) Regulations affects most if not all businesses in the local area. Groundwork Oldham amp; Rochdale’s Environmental Business Services with support from Envirowise, is holding a free WEEE seminar event to shed some light on this law and identify the impacts and requirements on local businesses.

Jacqueline Roberts, Groundwork Environmental Business Advisor, said: “There are still plenty of businesses out there who either aren’t aware of the regulations or who aren’t sure what they need to do. This is a great opportunity to fill in these blanks.”

If your business uses electrical appliances, manufactures something electrical or you are not sure what your company needs to do to comply, this seminar will help. The training will identify whether your business is obligated by these regulations and detail what is required. Envirowise is sponsoring the event and expertise will be provided by an Envirowise consultant with experience in the WEEE sector.

The free, half day course is taking place on Thursday 6 September at Rochdale Football Club with lunch provided afterwards. Places are limited and allocated on a first come first serve basis. For more details or to book a place, please contact Jean Maxwell at Groundwork Oldham amp; Rochdale on 0161 624 1444.
