Businesses come together for Gala Day
Date published: 06 March 2009
Businesses in Littleborough are cracking open the wine for the community at a special Gala Day this month.
A variety of high street shops will offer one-off giveaways and discounts, as well as free nibbles and drinks, in a bid to bring the community together.
The day long event, which is taking place on Thursday 26 March, will also be raising funds for the NSPCC.
Organiser Ruth Holt of Tiger Feet, Hare Hill Road hopes the event will demonstrate a strong local community, as well as bringing businesses together.
She said: “To sum it up, its basically an open day for the whole of Littleborough. Everyone will be giving things away and getting to know each other, as well as raising funds for a good cause.
“There are lots of prizes to be won and lots of fun to be had so come along and join in.”
