Camille Finney and Moena Sohail (Ceejayz Hair Studio @ Emm Hair) pledge their support for the new College diploma.
Hopwood Hall college has launched a new Hair and Beauty Diploma qualification, which will start this September across the borough.
Becki Lee, the College's Hair & Beauty Employer Champion, recently hosted an employer engagement event at the Crimble Restaurant for Rochdale employers within the hair & beauty sector to pledge their support to the college.
Diplomas are a new suite of qualifications available for learners aged between 14 and 19, which allows them to experience a new way of learning in a variety of contexts and locations, in school, college or the workplace.
Mrs Lee said: “The Hair and Beauty Studies Diploma is a fantastic way of enabling our learners to study the industry whilst gaining crucial employability skills and an insight into working life. Diplomas provide an alternative to traditional qualifications leading to both further and higher education and the workplace."
Employees from Natural Incentives in Castleton, True Serenity in Kingsway, Espirit Hair and Beauty in Heywood, Scissorhands Hair Salon on Yorkshire Street and Ceejayz Hair Studio @ Emm Hair on Milnrow Road all lent their support on the night.
