The New Inn on Manchester Road is set to continue its presence in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.
The selection process for the 2010 edition of the Campaign For Real Ale Good Beer Guide has begun in earnest and all the signs are that The New Inn on Manchester Road will retain its entry.
The Pub was included for the first time in this year's edition after a long selection process based on the quality and variety of real ales available.
It was the first time the pub had featured in the so-called "Drinkers Bible" and is the only Castleton Pub to be included.
Castleton Ward Councillor and New Inn regular, Peter Davison said: "This is fantastic news for the pub.
"Landlady, Cath Haig, has proved that she can provide our village with a place that offers quality ales in a safe and sensible environment. The repeat inclusion in this prestigious publication is a credit to her ability as a young publican at a time when many long standing landlords are struggling as a result of the current economic climate."
