Expert help for local exporters

Date published: 26 July 2007

Rochdale Training is adding to its portfolio of consultancy services with the launch this week of its new international trade advice service for manufacturers, retailers and service sector companies and a free one hour no-obligation meeting for interested local businesses.

Working with staff and associates who together have over 50 years of practical first-hand import and export experience, Rochdale Training will answer any queries on international trade including how to find customers abroad, what to do to get secure payments and why working with the banks is crucial.

Tony Rothwell, Commercial Services Manager comments: “I’ve worked in exporting with manufacturing companies for over 20 years and know how important it is to get the right advice so I’m pleased to be offering this service – and the free advice session - to local companies now. We’ve got experts with knowledge of all industry sectors including engineering and textiles and all European countries as well as Russia, America, Africa and Asia and see this service as another way to help the local economy and protect jobs for local people.

“If you’re just starting to think about exporting or want to know how to import direct just contact us. We’ll gladly help in any way we can.”
