Garden Centre dispels sale rumours

Date published: 10 September 2007

The Middleton based All-In-One Garden Centre has moved quickly to dispel rumours that the business has been sold. Responding to several trade enquiries regarding the rumour, Chairman of All-In-One Garden amp; Leisure Dave Stafford has issued a statement strongly denying any such rumours of sale. He said: "All-In-One Garden Centre Ltd has not been sold, neither is it up for sale."

He continued: “I would like to dispel the rumours within the trade regarding the ownership of our family run Garden Centre. The Stafford family still own and run the business. Contrary to these rumours, our future plans include the expansion into other centres, enabling us to deliver our award winning and inspirational All-In-One shopping experience to new customers.”

The Chairman of the business indicated that no-one within the company knew where the rumours had initiated.

The Rochdale Road Garden Centre has existed since 1971 and was one of the countries very first purpose built retail garden centres.

Today the centre sources its plants, flowers and garden furniture from around the world.

The Garden Centre has been active within the local community; sponsoring the 'Rochdale in bloom' event, hosting a local horticultural show every September and donating Castleton Village's Christmas Tree each year.
