John Whitaker International Open Days

On 22 and 23 October John Whitaker International will be opening the doors to their newly purchased purpose built warehouse.   This Rochdale based one acre site has all the modern advantages of a newly built warehouse. With open plan offices, warehouse facility, ample car parking and show room, John Whitaker International will be show casing the JWI Signature range, the Sarm Hippique collection, De Niro, Lami-Cell and Brogini merchandise will also be available to view along side important 'point of sale' material. Ordering on these days should be guaranteed for Christmas stocking.  

John Whitaker will also be in attendance and there will be an evening of entertainment with John as host laid on for all retailers who choose to stay over two days.

John Whitaker

  • One of only two show jumpers who are a MBE (Member of the British Empire). 
  • Competed at the Olympics 4 times winning Team Silver in 1984. He won Team and Individual Silver in 1980 at the Alternative Olympics. 
  • Competed at the World Championships 6 times winning 3 Team Bronze, Team Silver and Individual Silver. 
  • Has also been to the European Championships a record 10 times winning, 3 Team Gold’s, 4 Team Silver, and  two Team Bronze’s, as well as 2 Individual Silver, Individual Bronze and in 1989 he won both Team and Individual Gold. He has just one his second team Bronze at the European Championships in Mannheim. The team was made up of John, Michael, Ellen Whitaker and David McPherson. John also came 5th individually.
