Mike Duffy, the Commercial Director of Celltek Communications, will be representing the views of SME businesses and sharing his own experiences of the benefits of Non Executive Directors when he joins the panel at the joint CIMA and IoD event discussing ‘Shareholder Agreements amp; Non Executive Directors’. The evening event will be held at Rowton Hall on the 24 October.

With almost 15 years of board experience, much with smaller businesses operating within the Property, Technology, Training and Voluntary Sectors, Mr Duffy has worked with a range of structures including Family, Owner Managed, Trustees and even full PLC boards.

In addition to being Commercial Director of Celltek Communications, the leading independent technology company which specialises in Building Schools for the Future, Tameside born Mr Duffy is the Secretary of the Cheshire Branch of the Institute of Directors, the Secretary of Rochdale based Charity, KYP and a Business Advisor for the Young Enterprise (North West).

Celltek appointed an independent chairman in 2004, following the success of this two non executive Directors were later invited to join the main board. This has led to vast improvements in the effectiveness of the board and to the overall operation of the business.
