Webinar to discuss Rochdale’s investment opportunities

Rochdale’s investment and development plans will be discussed at a free webinar on Wednesday (20 January).

The event takes place from 11.45am to 2.45pm and provide insight into plans to develop 8,000 new homes and 4 million sq ft of new employment floor space in Rochdale over the next five years.

These proposals form part of Rochdale Borough Council’s ambitious growth plans which will reshape Rochdale as a place to live, work, connect and visit.

Rochdale Development Agency (RDA) is working with public and private sector partners to deliver these projects and others in Rochdale.

Speakers at the webinar include Tim Heatley, co-founder, of Capital & Centric; Nikki Waud, land manager at Taylor Wimpey Manchester; Jane Healey Brown, town planning lead for North West and Yorkshire at Arup; Councillor John Blundell, cabinet member for regeneration, business, skills and employment at Rochdale Borough Council; and Danny Crump, director of Urbanism at Broadway Malyan.

They’ll be joined by Daniel Kershaw, director of Russell WBHO; John Searle, director of economy at Rochdale Borough Council; Sandra Robinson, associate director strategic growth at WSP in the UK; Adam Wisher, regional director North West of LCR Property; Fahmida Nisa, online events manager at Built Environment Networking; and Andrew Jackson, associate of Arup.

The RDA is keen to hear from investors and developers with a similar vision for the future of Rochdale and want to know more about the opportunities available in the borough.
