Long-established Greater Manchester server, storage and networking specialist King of Servers has acquired Heywood based Think4 IT Solutions to create Evaris, a value-added reseller (VAR) and progressive technology provider.
Evaris will be based in Heywood, with an expanded office space to accommodate the combined workforce of the two businesses and to allow for further growth in 2019.
The two firms are worth £10 million in combined sales and the deal has already brought new jobs to the region, with more in the pipeline.
Launching in December 2018, Evaris will deliver business transformation to firms of all sizes in the North West and nationally, by offering extensive managed IT support alongside a full suite of IT solutions including: cloud and managed services, disaster recovery, procurement, data centre infrastructure, networking, security and support through on-premises, cloud and hybrid services.
The new company is also targeting the international VAR market with its unique understanding of IT hardware and managed services, thanks to the combined force of King of Servers and Think4 IT who share 30 years’ experience in the tech sector.
Mike Cohen, CEO of Evaris, said: “The acquisition is a key strategic step to ensuring customers continue to benefit from the excellent knowledge and service already offered by King of Servers and the extensive skillset that Think4 has in the managed services market.
“By making Evaris the provider of choice for their IT products and services, we can focus on helping businesses take full advantage of technology to deliver tangible business outcomes for their organisation.”
Partner relationships include Microsoft and Dell EMC plus many other leading brands. Evaris already boasts a sizeable customer base from its founding businesses, with many blue chip clients benefitting from its diverse range of services and products.
The company also plans to host events in the North West in the new year, helping to educate organisations in the growing complexities involved with technology in the workplace.
Mike said: “We know that businesses of all kinds are becoming increasingly reliant on technology, yet that same technology could be their downfall if they fail to implement it correctly or lack the right training and security measures to keep data safe.
“We spotted a gap in the market for an expert VAR that can handle IT from start to finish and help businesses to use technology as a transformational tool as they grow, which is where Evaris comes in. I am incredibly excited to be launching this innovative new business in Greater Manchester, which is fast becoming a digital hub and is home to some of the country’s most skilled IT talent.”
