Royal Toby Hotel to refurbish The Rhyddings Suite

Date published: 31 October 2018

The Royal Toby Hotel, in Castleton is in the final planning stages of a £250,000 refurbishment to its function room, The Rhyddings Suite.

The Deckers Hospitality Group put The Royal Toby Hotel up for sale in 2017 but made the decision last February to take the hotel off the market and to fully invest in the future of the business.

Max Brierley, Group Managing Director said: “The refurbishment of the Rhyddings Suite is phase one of our investment plan and towards the end of 2019 we will be beginning a £600,000 refurbishment of our 51 bedroom hotel.

“The Rhyddings Suite refurbishment will see a transformation from regal reds to multiple shades of grey that will complement the existing solid oak panelled walls and give a fresh new feel to the grandiosity of the room.

“This new look will give a lot more flexibility for brides and grooms planning their special day and will provide a genuine wow factor as your guests arrive.”

Clare Poole, Deputy General Manager of The Royal Toby Hotel said: “After a period of uncertainty for all staff and customers it was great to hear that we were no longer for sale, the board of directors plans to drive the business forward has really sparked new life into everyone."

The proposed work will commence on the 18 February 2019 and will be completed by 22 March 2019.
