Rochdale company back Blazing Saddles firefighters

Date published: 18 July 2018

Rochdale company Graffic Detail is backing the Manchester Fire Blazing Saddles cycling team as they to take on their fourth challenge for charity.

Blazing Saddles are aiming to raise £30,000 for Cyclists Fighting Cancer, The Fire Fighters Charity, Mind and Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

Paul Devine, who owns Graffic Detail, said: “Myself and my employees Phil Garbett and Kyle Banks are all former firemen, so we are happily supporting this worthy charity.”

Graffic Detail has provided vehicle graphics and banners, signage and design for the cyclists, and Mr Garbett will be meeting the team in the Pyrenees next week to be a support driver.

The team of 12 are cycling from Oldham to Gibraltar in just 14 days, a distance of almost 1,700 miles, accompanied by four support staff members.

The route takes Blazing Saddles from Oldham to Portsmouth, to Le Havre through France, over the Pyrenees and through Spain to Gibraltar.
