Jobs saved as A&F Sprinklers acquires North West fire protection business

Date published: 20 June 2018

Rochdale-based A&F Sprinklers Ltd which designs, installs and services automatic fire sprinkler systems for high profile retail, commercial and residential sectors, as well as distribution and  construction industries, has acquired Hall Fire Protection Ltd and its Worsley site after it went into administration on 6 June.

The sale safeguards 111 engineering and business posts and strengthens A&F Sprinklers’ industry-leading position in fire safety technologies.  It’s considered to be one of the largest acquisitions in the sector in recent times.

The Worsely site will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary A&F Sprinkler Services Ltd with A&F Sprinklers’ managing director Mark Stansfield presiding over both companies.

He said: "This is a significant step in our growth strategy within the UK fire protection industry. The seamless transfer of business to A&F Sprinklers consolidates our strong brand position, protects skills, creates a solid platform for future development and provides enhanced fire protection services which ultimately save lives, property and the environment.”

The sites will remain independent with staff continuing in their current roles with no plans for relocations.

It is understood further growth is anticipated, with the business indicating that 10 – 15 new positions could be created over the next year.
