The Co-op in Castleton will reopen after an extensive overhaul
The Co-op is set to serve-up a new-look store on Grosvenor Street in Castleton, following revamp.
Opening on Friday 29 June, the Co-op will offer a wide range of fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas, wines and essentials.
Gemma Nettleton, Co-op store manager, said: “We are delighted to be undertaking such a significant investment in Rochdale and we’re confident that the improvements will help us to better serve the community. It’s an exciting time for the whole team.”
The store will also bring a funding boost to local causes including Heywood Scout Group and Sandon House Community Centre through the Co-op’s Membership scheme. Members receive a 5% reward when buying own-branded products, and the Co-op donates a further 1% to local causes.
The community retailer also offers a 10% discount to students in the area holding an NUS card.
Alex Price, area manager, said: “We’re investing in our people, stores, products, prices and communities – our aim is for stores to be at the heart of local life, bringing communities together and offering great quality products, when and where our members and customers need them.
“We also want customers to know that they can become a co-owner and member of their Co-op, and, that we are also giving back to the community. Our members make a difference locally, simply by swiping their membership card when they shop with us they raise much needed funding for organisations in the area who contribute to improving local life.”
There are offers and promotions in and around the store to mark its launch.
