Hats off to Middleton retailers
Date published: 11 May 2018
With the forthcoming marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Middleton Shopping Centre, invited its retailers to make ‘A Hat Fit for a Royal Wedding'.
Using basic craft materials and materials in store, the brief was to create a hat that reflected the name of the shop, its products or services.
Twenty-nine shops rose to the challenge and their millinery masterpieces, fascinating fascinators and crafty crowns.
Lynette Howgate, Manager of the Middleton Shopping Centre, said: “We have been amazed and the creativity and imagination displayed by our retailers – some of the hats are truly inspirationa.
“This competition is a very local celebration of an international event and we wish the couple every happiness.”
The hats are currently on display opposite Lean & Green and near to the Xercise4Less gym entrance at the Middleton Shopping Centre.
