MID Communications employees dumped in the middle of nowhere for SuperheroDay

Date published: 03 May 2018

MID Communications’ Middleton business centre, is dumping two employees in the middle of nowhere this Friday 4 May, dressed as their favourite superheroes in order to raise money for Cash for Kids, in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

The pair are going to have to make their way back to MID Communications’ headquarters on Stakehill Industrial Estate, Middleton, with no smartphone to guide them.

Every £10 raised will equal one mile further away from the Business Centre, with a target to raise of £500, so we could potentially see the pair of superheroes stranded a long way from home.

There will also be Superhero Day themed events taking place in all 16 of MID Communications’ O2 stores across the region on Friday.

MID Communications CEO, Danny Simpson, said: “Cash for Kids has been a big part of our CSR strategy for five years now, as it is a brilliant charity that delivers back to its local communities and supports local charities.

"It is shocking to think that one in three children live in poverty today, and this should not happen and should not continue.

"Thanks to Cash for kids and the campaigns like superhero day and other initiatives this enables all the people of Manchester to help reduce that stat.

“The charity and Superhero day is so easy to get involved in, even if you just have fancy dress at work and everyone brings in a couple of quid, trust me it all makes a difference. Don’t think my £2 won’t make a difference because it does. It is thanks to all the small donations that make the biggest difference.

"You can and should make a difference, get involved and help make a difference with us for Teenage Cancer Trust this year.”
