Zen Internet flower power wins North West in Bloom awards

Date published: 09 November 2017

Zen has been named a North West in Bloom winner for a fifth consecutive year, continuing a run of green-fingered success stretching back to 2013.

This year Zen picked up two awards. The company won a gold award for Best Retail, Commercial or Business Park, and topped that by being named the overall winner of the category.

Quality Co-ordinator, Paula Ward, who spearheaded Zen’s entry, said: “Zen Internet takes a lot of pride in its grounds and we are committed to maintaining and improving them – with the aim of both protecting the wildlife that inhabit the area and enhancing the enjoyment that people get from this lush, green space. This year, we have introduced a number of bird tables around the space, encouraging more wildlife to the site.

“The pond and gardens make a lovely space for an informal meeting, a lunchtime spent in the sunshine or just somewhere for people to spend some quiet time away from the office. They are a habitat for many different types of wildlife – from geese and moor hens to coy carp, heron and ducks. Walking into work past newly hatched ducklings and goslings has been a delight.

Zen has been nominated to represent the North West in the Best Retail, Commercial or Business Park category at the national Britain in Bloom competition in 2018.
