Internet Holds Key to Export Success

Date published: 22 November 2007

Rochdale Economic Partnership is supporting an event organised by UK Trade and Investment in the North West to give businesses the chance to learn how the internet can help them research export markets.

The event will show how the internet is a cheap yet effective way of identifying potential customers and opportunities abroad. It will also look at how the growth of low cost airlines and online booking can make it cheaper to visit customers in France or Germany than London or Bristol.

Businesses who attend will hear about the support available from UK Trade amp; Investment and the Euro Info Centres, from free online information and sales leads to affordable research reports and pre-arranged programmes of meetings when you are overseas. A local company will also explain how it developed its business in Germany through effective research and use of a wide range of support services.

The event will take place at the Bower Hotel in Oldham on 28 November from 8am to 10am. The cost is £15 plus VAT including a buffet breakfast. For more information contact Charles Jacobson:
