Anthony K Vehicle Leasing moves to Rochdale

Date published: 25 July 2017

Anthony K Vehicle Leasing, a car leasing company which has been in business for more than 20 years, has new premises in Rochdale.

The company spent more than two decades in Middleton, but with help from the Business Growth Hub fuelling a boost in profits and the addition of two new members of staff, the family firm felt the time was right for a change in location.

Tony Nugent, director and founder, said: “Middleton has served us really well, but now our business is changing we needed a new base. There was no question of not staying in Rochdale. We all live here and have enjoyed great success here.

“This new location is ideal for us. It’s right next to the tram and train links and the transport interchange in Rochdale town centre, so all our staff can get here really easily.

"We’ve just taken on two new members of staff and will probably take on two more in the next year, so knowing these people can get to us easily is a major consideration.”

Mayor  Ian Duckworth, who enjoyed a tour of the new premises at Stonebridge House in Livesey Street, said: “It’s great to see that as companies like this grow they want to stay in our borough. It’s a great place to do business.

“I’m really impressed that after 20 years in business this company is still expanding and innovating. I wish them continued success in the future and here’s to another 20 years in the fantastic borough of Rochdale.”

Mr Nugent's son, Rob Nugent, who is also a director at the business, added: “It’s great to be in Rochdale. We really like to be part of the local community. We organise team nights out on a regular basis and we’re finding there are some interesting new businesses in the town centre that we’re looking to tick off our list. We’re so well connected here. It feels like we’re really at the heart of things.”

As well as national chains such as Bannatyne Gyms, the company's clients include local schools Falinge Park and Redwood and local companies such as H Rothwell & Sons, Click Fire and Security, Zen Internet and Target Fire and Protection.
