Charity work is a piece of cake for Zen Internet

Date published: 02 May 2006

Zen Internet recently organised a staff cake break on Friday the 28 April to help raise money for the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society. This was part of a nationwide ‘MS Cake Break Day’ which encourages both companies and individuals to raise money during MS Awareness Week.

Cakes were kindly donated by Park Cake Bakeries. They were delivered to each of Zen’s three sites, with staff able to choose how much they donated for a slice. In addition to this, competitions were organised throughout the day to add to the fundraising. Overall the event at Zen raised £224.81 for the charity.

The Zen Socials and Charities Committee, who organised the event, are always looking to help charities where possible, and the MS Society are one of the charities that Zen keenly supports.

Caroline Taylor, HR Manager and member of the Zen Socials and Charities Committee team commented:

“This was a great team effort, with our staff members able to indulge their sweet tooth for a good cause! Zen likes to be involved in opportunities such as this wherever possible, and this was a simple and fun way to raise money for an important charity.”
