Star Procurement, the shared procurement service for Rochdale Stockport and Trafford councils, has launched a three-year business plan.
Star Procurement arranges contracts for any supplies, services or works. The suppliers who deliver these contracts can be from the public, private, voluntary or community sectors.
Lorraine Cox, director of Star Procurement, said: “Our new business plan has helped us focus on where procurement can make a difference and how it can be used as a catalyst for change.
"We are excited about our future direction and the results we achieve through collaboration.
Procurement is so much more than putting contracts in place, as our five-star objectives of commercial, communities, collaboration, compliance and champions demonstrate.”
Councillor Allen Brett, chairman of Star Procurement Joint Committee, said: “Star Procurement shows that sharing services, expertise and resources delivers results, as the achievements for our award winning service demonstrate.
"The challenges ahead are significant but the future with Star Procurement is bright.”
