Global technology giants seek partners

Date published: 21 March 2006

Some of the world's largest technology companies will be at the Manchester International Conference Centre on Friday 19 May for TechnologyWorld06 - the UK's only partnering event for leading-edge information, communication and technology (ICT) businesses.

Panasonic, Nokia, Motorola, Ricoh, Matsushita, Samsung, Sanyo, Sharp Corporation and Eastman Kodak are just a few of the big-name companies attending the event, which earlier in the week visits both London and Cambridge.

Now in its third year, TechnologyWorld06 will focus on mobile and wireless applications, and ICT applications for the healthcare and security sectors.

The event will provide an opportunity to:

  • Identify potential export markets and establish new partnerships with similar organisations from around the world through guaranteed face-to-face meetings
  • Sell to hundreds of buyers and business partners
  • Llisten to a full seminar programme, including presentations by international trade experts, and hear industry leaders presenting the latest technology.

Representatives from more than 30 countries will be seeking partnerships with leading-edge technology businesses based in the UK, including device, equipment and component manufacturers; software application developers; technology and connectivity specialists and R&D partners in electronic components and transmission technologies.

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the government organisation that provides support for UK firms wishing to expand overseas, is urging businesses to sign up to the event.  For full details, or to sign up to TechnologyWorld06, visit www.technologyworld06.com or call 01564 797635.
