Pixelwave Creative collaborate with Collingwood Learning to create educational videos

Date published: 21 February 2017

Rochdale-based video production company Pixelwave Creative has helped produce a series of educational videos dedicated to helping public sector professionals across the UK better understand safeguarding issues.

Pixelwave has collaborated with Collingwood Learning, a leading education and training provider, and Bradford Council to develop the ‘Real Safeguarding Stories’ online resource.

Real Safeguarding Stories features video monologues based on real stories and cases of survivors of abuse and highlights several key child and adult safeguarding, and domestic abuse issues. More than 4,000 people have visited the project since its launch.

John Paul Woffenden, owner of Pixelwave Creative, said: “This has been such a wonderful project to be involved with as it helps to raise awareness, educate and have a positive impact on the safeguarding of young and vulnerable people.

"We’re proud to have helped Collingwood Learning produce a pool of videos that present a range of complex issues in a simple way that people can understand.”

Chris Simes at Collingwood Learning said: “As an education and training provider to councils, the NHS and private sector organisations many of our projects require video elements.

"Real Safeguarding Stories have been developed with safeguarding officers and trainers at Bradford Council and the power of the videos produced by Pixelwave Creative have made such an impact.”

“We have been able to incorporate so many learning points into the videos, that they have been used many more times as part of a range of awareness events and training across the UK.”
