Heywood vehicle repair business driving growth thanks to Yorkshire Bank

Date published: 09 February 2017

Vehicle Concepts, based in the Heywood plans to create new jobs after moving to bigger premises with support from Yorkshire Bank.

The vehicle repair business obtained a six-figure funding package from Yorkshire Bank to facilitate the move to the new site. The deal was delivered by Lee Blainey, Small Business Development Manager at Yorkshire Bank.

Vehicle Concepts provides a comprehensive range of accident repairs and replacement vehicle services to insurance brokers, commercial clients, specialised driving instructor schemes, vehicle rental companies and other businesses across the UK.

The company recently moved to a new 27,000 sq. ft. location which offers much greater car parking than was available at its previous premises, where the business had been based since it was founded in 2003.

The firm now has ambitious plans to grow its vehicle repair and replacement services as well as long-term plans to develop further revenue streams at the site. Up to six new jobs are expected to be created, a 33% increase compared with the current team of 15 staff in 2017.

Andrew Omeltschenko, director of Vehicle Concepts, said: “We were really constrained by what we could achieve at our previous site, where there simply wasn’t enough car parking space to accommodate our requirements as we grew. Our new premises provide a much needed additional car parking workshop and office space to support future business growth.

“Yorkshire Bank demonstrated that they understood our business and the opportunities available to us by moving to a bigger site. We were extremely impressed by the team’s experience of growing businesses and we look forward to working with them to develop our business.”

Sean Williams, Head of Yorkshire Bank’s Manchester Customer Banking Centre, said: “Vehicle Concepts has gained a fantastic reputation for providing excellent customer service, with the firm now counting many nationwide businesses amongst its client base. We welcome the entrepreneurial spirit shown by Andy and his management team and we look forward to working with them as they develop the business.

“It is extremely rewarding to know that our support is not only helping the business to achieve its growth aspirations but also to boost the local economy and create new jobs.”
