Zen Internet launch new team for specialist events

Date published: 30 January 2006

Zen Internet, a leading UK Internet Service Provider, has launched a dedicated events team. This team will allow quicker activation times for ADSL provision at specialist and corporate events.

After the success of Zen’s involvement in major events such as Glastonbury, Live 8, the V festival and the Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh, the company is fast becoming renowned as a reliable provider in the field of specialist events. With this in mind Zen therefore decided to set-up a dedicated team that would build upon the level of efficiency previously shown in providing broadband for these events.

The team is made up of staff from various departments across the company, therefore offering support in all aspects of the service starting at service provision through to technical assistance.

Iain Johnstone, Sales and Partner Programme Manager, Zen Internet, commented: “Our virtual events team has built up valuable experience working across a wide range of important and well publicised events. Our experience means that we can recommend and implement the right connections quickly in order for the events to run successfully and to give the event organisers the piece of mind that this is one area that they don’t need to worry about. We understand the fine timelines involved in event organising and our turnaround is a vital element in the run up to an event.”

The events team has worked with one of Zen’s customers, Unique Events in the provisioning of lines for many events including Edinburgh’s Christmas and Hogmanay celebrations. As Zen runs on a monthly contract system for ADSL, this is an added bonus for the company who only require short-term deals.

Rachel Sivills of Unique Events, commented: “We really appreciated the speed and efficiency that was shown by Zen when the orders were processed. It allowed us to concentrate on the organisation of these world class events with a reliable and efficient online connection.”
