Zen Internet short-listed in Internet Oscars

Date published: 25 January 2006

Zen Internet has been short-listed as a finalist in four categories of the ISPA Awards 2006 (the UK Internet Industry’s equivalent of the Oscars):

  • Best Light Business Broadband (up to 1Mbps)
  • Best Heavy Business Broadband (up to 2Mbps)
  • Best Uncontended Service (ZenDirect Leased Lines)
  • Best Business ISP

The Internet Services Providers' Association (ISPA) has been organising The ISPAs since 1999 to celebrate innovation and best practice in the Internet industry. These illustrious awards honour those businesses and individuals who have delivered outstanding performance within the industry throughout the year, reflecting the broad nature of the service provider sector.

Board members from the industry and Government representatives will gather to recognise the industry's achievements in the previous year. Part of the awards scheme's strength is its independence and objectivity, reinforced for the third year by ISPA's research partner Epitiro.

Zen’s services have been rigorously tested and monitored over the last 3 months by Epitiro. The analysis and judgement of the written submissions involved criteria such as the standard of the product offerings, value added services, and levels of support and customer care. Following this, the shortlists were then decided for each category.

Zen has high hopes for success in the 2006 ISPAs after winning the ‘Best Light Business Broadband’ Award for the first time in 2005. Success would also come hot off the heels of a recent win in the 2005 PC Pro Awards where Zen won the prestigious PC Pro Best ISP Broadband award for the second year running.

Iain Johnstone, Sales and Partner Programme Manager, Zen Internet, commented: “We are extremely honoured to be nominated in so many categories for these prestigious awards! To be nominated again, and this time in even more categories, just helps to confirm that we are well on the way to achieving our mission to provide the best ISP service in the UK. This mission continues to be the main focus of our business and it is this that sets us apart from our competitors.”

The winners in all categories will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony to be held at the London Marriott Hotel on 23 February 2006. For more information please visit http://www.ispaawards.org.uk
