Business for Breakfast

Date published: 19 December 2005

Local businessman Tony Hayes, who runs a successful telecommunications company, has branched out in business by taking on a Business for Breakfast franchise covering Rochdale and surrounding areas.

Hayes, a current Business for Breakfast member, saw the venture as an opportunity that would allow him to use his business experience and knowledge of the organisation to create a forum where members can successfully develop their businesses.

Business for Breakfast provides a forum for like-minded business people to meet, enabling them to pool resources of their contacts to generate referrals for each other’s businesses and to share their business experiences for the benefit of their collective knowledge.

Founded by John and Mel Fisher in 2001, Business for Breakfast is thriving and they expect to have recruited 37,500 members by the year 2008.

Hayes said: “As an active member with three years experience I’ve got first hand knowledge of how beneficial Business for Breakfast can be to both its members and franchisees. It appealed to me because it offers structured business meetings in a friendly atmosphere, without the pressures of some of its competitors.

“I decided to start a franchise in the area to enable me to utilise my skills and knowledge and make Business for Breakfast networking opportunities available to a wider business community.”

John Fisher, managing director and founder of Business for Breakfast adds: “We are delighted that Tony has come on board as a franchisee. He was a fantastic member and we are confident that his knowledge of the organisation coupled with his business expertise will ensure Business for Breakfast is a success in Rochdale and the surrounding areas”.

The first Business for Breakfast meeting is being held at Moss Lodge Hotel, Kings Road, Rochdale on 19 January 2006.
